The Midvaal Local Municipality is inviting applications for six (6) Call Centre Agent positions on a fixed-term contract (ending 30 September 2028). This opportunity is based in Meyerton, Gauteng and offers candidates a chance to contribute to excellent customer service within the municipality.
Minimum Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 certificate.
- Call Centre Support/Contact Centre and/or Business Process Support Certificate.
- Fully bilingual (Afrikaans and English); knowledge of an additional local language (IsiZulu or Sesotho) will be an advantage.
- Strong computer literacy, communication, telephone etiquette, and customer service skills.
- Passionate, motivated, and customer-focused.
- Attention to detail, good office management, and strong administration skills.
- Knowledge of the Midvaal Local Municipality and its area is highly recommended.
- At least 2 years’ relevant experience in call centre/customer service or a pressurised environment handling complaints and enquiries (advantageous).

Willingness to work shifts:

Day Shift: 06:00 – 14:00

Afternoon Shift: 14:00 – 22:00

- Preference will be given to residents within the Midvaal Local Municipality.
- Must be able to travel to and from Midvaal Local Municipality.
Key Responsibilities:
Successful candidates will:
- Provide comprehensive call centre functions, including receiving and dispatching calls, registering complaints, and providing customer feedback.
- Strive to reach and exceed municipal service goals.
- Enhance customer experience in a professional and polite manner.
- Ensure compliance with the municipality’s service charter and turnaround times.
- Perform related ad hoc tasks as required by management.
