University of Limpopo 2026 Applications

 

The University of Limpopo (UL), in Limpopo Province, South Africa, was formed on 1 January 2005 by merging the University of the North (Turfloop campus) and the Medical University of South Africa (MEDUNSA). In 2015, MEDUNSA separated into what is now Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University.

Admission Requirements

NSC with Bachelor Exemption

  • Life Orientation: minimum level 3

  • English (LOLT): minimum level 3

  • Degree programmes: at least four 20 credit subjects at NSC level 4

  • Diploma programmes: at least four 20 credit subjects at NSC level 3

  • Meet the Admission Point Score (APS) specified by each faculty—calculated from six 20‑credit subjects, excluding Life Orientation ul.ac.za+1apply.org.za+1
    Note: Meeting the APS does not guarantee admission.

Senior Certificate (pre‑2008)

  • Requires full university exemption and conversion to APS.

National Certificate (Vocational) NC(V) Level 4

APS Calculation & Placement:
Scores are based on six 20‑credit NSC subjects. Entry requirements and placement test guidance are available via the official UL prospectus apply.org.za+2ul.ac.za+2mabumbe.com+2.


Prospective Students with Other Qualifications
